2012 was a great year full of amazing music! Here is a list of Social Talk's favourite songs from 2012! These are the tracks that we had on repeat and couldn't seem to stop listening to! Daily Dirty Dub 52: Taylor Swift - I Knew You Were Trouble (Spag Heddy Remix)

I was waiting for that perfect dubstep remix to come out for this song and I think I've found it. Spag Heddy, A DJ/Producer that I was unfamiliar with before hearing this mix from The Netherlands dropped this remix about 2 months ago. Fever Ray - Now's The Only Time I Know (The Killabits Remix)

The Killabits just dropped their mix of Fever Ray's "Now's The Only Time I know" and it's a very different sound from their other music. And in the best way possible! Definitely still a bassy song in all the right ways, however, totally laidback and chill in comparison. Here's what the guys had to say about it:

"Everything sounds the same these days, so we're trying to make something different. We've been hard at work taking bits and ideas from a variety of different influences, putting our own spin on it, and doing something new with it. This one is a little more laid back but from our experience its found its way into the right club setting. Expect a lot of new ideas and sounds coming from us in the near future."

Well, they have Social Talk excited! We can't wait to hear what's to come from The Killabits.

Adele - Skyfall (Wiggz N Wonz x Young Piff & Sandor Trap Remix)

Adele has been one of my favourite artists to rise during the 21st century and when I found out she was going to be doing the title track of the latest Bond flick, I couldn't wait to hear it. Along with all the remixes! My good friend Billy dropped me this trap remix and I'm really diggin' it. Definitely my kind of trap. Impeccable vocals accompanied by elements of hip-hop and dub. Girls Aloud - Something New (Fred Falke Remix)

While this song has a really fun pop feel, the influence that Fred Falke brings in his remix turns it into a great house anthem. It has a really British feel, which is something I can’t help but adore! One of the members of the group is actually Brit superstar Cheryl Cole, which makes it all the better in my opinion. Not to mention the original track was a charity single for the British charity "Children in Need". I absolutely love it, and think it’s well worth a listen!
