Lykke Li - I Follow Rivers (Artistic Raw Mix)

So, I’m finally home from my summer in Europe, but not quite done with my Euro faves. My last few days were spent in Dublin, which was absolutely amazing. The one tune that I couldn’t seem to escape, nor did I want to was Lykke Li’s “I Follow Rivers”. While the original is catchy, fun and definitely a club banger, the remix by Artistic Raw is definitely my favourite version of the song, bringing more of a house feel to the track. Check it out. It’s actually unbelievable!

K

David Guetta feat. Sia- She Wolf (Falling to Pieces) (Game 7 Remix)

Allow me to introduce you to Game 7. This is his first remix under a new name, however, you may have heard of him before under the name Shane Martz. This time around, Shane is back with an alias, Game 7, and the music is a lot harder than before! His first remix is to David Guetta featuring Sia's "She Wolf" and its everything you would expect from him and more. It is definitely heavier than the other tracks he has produced and I'm loving it. The remix takes the song in a totally new direction from the original and features beautiful vocals that are perfect for this style of remix. Check it out below, free download in comment section on Soundcloud. I've heard Game 7 has a bunch of new remixes coming out soon, so stay tuned for more releases!

Sunday is here and you know what that means, it's FUNDAY time! Madeon's "Finale" gets the Dillon Francis treatment and it sounds amazing! Beyond EDM: The Living Satelites

As much as I love my Electronic Dance Music, there is a lot more out there! The Living Satellites, a trio pop-rock band from Toronto consisting of Jake Barnes, Justin Ferrara and Alex 'Chops' Kalb released their first full length album under SFA Records and it displays some serious talent. The production on this album is basically flawless and their sound is very unique. Influences for the band include Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Death Cab for Cutie, and The Beatles just to name a few. Their first single "Diamonds and Pearls", in my opinion brings a fresh new sound to the pop-rock scene. It's definitely catchy and  shows a lot of progress in their talent from previous releases. Check out the lead single "Diamonds and Pearls" below off their debut full length album "All or Nothing". Catch The Living Satellites live this Friday at The Smiling Buddha Bar. Click here for more information on their upcoming performane!

Daily Dirty Dub 45.0 - Robotic Pirate Monkey - Banana Cannon

I had this song sent over to me last week and I knew from first listen I had to share it with you all. It's a first time feature for the production trio Robotic Pirate Monkey and I'll definitely be checking out more of their music!  Today I'm featuring RPM's single "Banana Cannon" from their EP heat.wav and it's a super funky bass track that has a lot of originality. It gets pretty heavy at times, with a great bass line and I can't help but blast it! I'm also loving the bridge in this song that leads into a great drop to get down to. Check it out below and get your daily dose of some dirty dub!

The End: Swedish House Mafia - Don't You Worry Child feat. John Martin

I know most of you have heard this, but those of you who haven’t, I present to you... Swedish House Mafia’s last single, “Don’t You Worry Child”. Excuse me while I cry a little. This trio has taken the world by storm since late ‘08, and this song has everything I could have asked for from their last single.  Shout out to John Martin as well who’s vocals are exceptional and bring exactly what’s needed into this track.

I have also attached a link to their first single, “Get Dumb” bringing us back to 2008.

PrototypeRaptor - Highwind/Color Galaxy EP

I've just discovered PrototypeRaptor, a producer/DJ based out of Norman, Oklahoma and I am really digging his sound. He just released his Color Galaxy/Highwind EP and it sounds amazing. With so many producers trying to make electro house music, it's nice to hear someone who has a very unique approach to it. With his fast pace, upbeat original tracks, and support from both Wolfgang Gartner and Porter Robinson, PrototypeRaptor is definitely making a strong splash on the scene! Check out his latest two originals and see if you like it.

Happy Sunday Funday,

Saturday Night Pre-Drink: feat. DJ Reidiculous & Ted Hunter

It's Saturday night and it is time to get the party started! This week I am featuring 2 new remixes from DJ Reidiculus and Ted Hunter. Reidiculous uses his power house remix skills on Nicki Minaj's "Pound The Alarm" and the mix sounds unreal! Another bangin' house meets dirty-dutch remix that will get you dancing.

Ted Hunter released his remix of Jennifer Lopez's "Goin' In" yesterday and it's a great club/house mix that has some very unique sounds and a great bass line. Ted took the song in a whole new direction and I really like it. Check it out below and enjoy!

Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs - Household Goods (Zeds Dead Remix)

Sit back, relax, and enjoy the mellow wobbles of Zeds Dead's latest remix to Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs', "Household Goods". Toronto's hometown heros keep pumping out the remixes and we love all of them. Nothing too crazy going on with this remix, just chilled out vibes... Perfect for a rainy day or a long drive. Although I do enjoy the hard-hitting dubstep that we know and love from Zeds, this track is perhaps a newer direction for the duo and I'm really feeling it. No complaints on this end. As I said, sit back, relax and enjoy.

Mark Knight – Nothing Matters feat. Skin (Noisia Remix)

My jaw is officially on the ground. When Chris Lake tweeted today about his love for this track, I checked out what the hype was about. Noisia has turned this into a hardcore drum & bass, emphasis on the bass. The original is a pretty normal structure, and the remix takes that and turns it upside down with the crazy old-school bass lines.  This one is killer and completely off the charts.

Daily Dirty Dub 44.0 - RUN DMT - Sugarcube (Bassnectar Remix)

This track has an unreal dubstep wobble and high pitched melodies that give me goose-bumps. The drop is way too sick, and the remix has an intense circus feel to it.  Bassnectar is on a lot of people’s minds after his apparently unreal set at Veld this weekend in Toronto (though, unfortunately I was not there, and therefore this is based on what I have heard from those I know who were there), and his talent is displayed purely in this remix of the legend Run DMC’s track, Sugarcube.

Andain - Turn Up The Sound (TyDi remix)

Literally haven’t been able to turn this track off for the last few weeks. Andain hails from SanFran, and includes the dark emotive voice of Mavie Marcos, who is responsible for the beautiful, and catchy vocal lines . The mix of acoustic and electronic sounds are what make the original piece a strong track, but Australian Dj TyDi has hit it out of the park with his remix of it.

Autoerotique - Roll The Drums (Felix Cartal & Torro Torro Remix)

Love the vocals, love the sound, this remix is great. Felix Cartal remixes Autoerotique's "Roll The Drums" and it makes me want to dance! The easy-listening remix will be great for the dance-floor and getting the crowd moving. Check it out below!

Also, check out Torro Torro's remix that is banging! A bit harder then Cartal's remix and I love it.
