Daily Dirty Dub. 7.0

A good friend of mine posted this song on my wall and I knew immediately I had to share it with everyone. Dancing With the DJ, original  by The Knocks, remixed by Matthew Sterling is a dubstep worthy track that makes me really appreciate the diverse nature of the dubstep genre. The Knocks created a great song that was remixed in a really great way, keeping the authenticity of the original track yet, re-vamping it into a whole new experience! Thanks to Alex for bringing this song to my attention!

Enjoy Dub-Heads,

Introducing: Rabbit Killer!

Came across this song today and I love it. With a true electro and house feel, I instantly new that I would like this song about 30 seconds in. Hailing all the way from Russia, Rabbit Killer has found quite the following over the last little while!

Hope you enjoy the song!

New Lil' Wayne - Dear Anne

It's good to hear Lil' Wayne  going back to his roots and laying down a legit track, Dear Anne. I've been following Lil' Wayne for a while now and I love the simplicity of this song. The rift/chorus is what I really like; the haunting vocals that truly make this track a Lil' Wayne number!

Are you out of site and out of mind?

Enjoy,

SAT, JUNE 18 - HAPPY ENDINGS #004 //
POIRIER x A-ROCK x HATCHMATIK

POIRIER (NINJATUNE, MTL)
http://www.poiriersound.com/

"Drawing from a wide range of tropical riddims and urban electro, the power of Montreal-based DJ/producer Poirier’s bass blasts through any flimsy attempt to classify his music. Pinpointing the bits and pieces of dancehall beats, soca energy and electronic intensity is futile in the face of Poirier’s dance-driven creativity and air horn-worthy excitement"

You've heard him here before, you've listened to his music and as of late been playing his Party Rock Anthem Remix on repeat! Please allow me to introduce you to the first Artist to join the Social Talk team, Rockwell!

He's been one of the most liked and viewed Artists featured on Social Talk over the past 9 months and we are very proud and honoured to represent and take part in his journey as he embarks on an amazing career ahead of him. This summer Rockwell has a line-up of bangers that are being released in the fourth-coming months! He will embark on one of his biggest shows to date, as an opening act, taking the stage in front of over 2,500 people at Spectrum Electronic Carnival!

Oh, and he has his biggest drop to date with a dubstep remix to Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody'!

Check it out below! This is his best track to date, hands down! Download it, it's free!

Zeds Dead Live at The Phoenix- The Review!

Zeds Dead’s return to Toronto on their Rudeboy Tour brought with it indescribable excitement and fan loyalty as Zeds made their first appearance of the summer in their home town at the Phoenix Concert Theatre.

The unreal line-up, including Drop the Lime, The Killabits, and Zeds Dead, had the crowd pumped up and the club literally amped to a fever pitch as the room took on the temperature of a sweltering sauna. The performers knew exactly how to work the wild and out of control crowd, jamming hard to their beats as they DJ-ed- with The Killabit' Sam jumping into the audience on a lifeboat and going head first into a crowd of over 1200 people!

As they scrambled onto the stage to dance with the DJs and crowd surf around the room, the audience was as much a part of the show as the performers! Dripping with sweat, raving shoulder-to-shoulder, and losing themselves in the bass, these dub-heads and electronica enthusiasts experienced what makes a show like the Rudeboy tour truly unique; it didn’t matter who you arrived with, who you were leaving with, what you were wearing, how drenched your clothes were, or how strange the muted ringing noise in your ears would feel the morning after, all that mattered was you and the music, the beats emitted from the talented DJs on stage that reverberated through your body as you danced, fist-pumped, jumped, and in my case even thrashed to the songs and the epic light-show.

The intangible excitement that united all subcultures from every corner of the GTA into one unforgettable dance floor orgy only added to the success and awesome nature of the show. Toronto sure knows how to throw it down with the Killabits and Zeds Dead, and if you missed out this time, I would recommend you don’t let it happen again!

Thanks to everyone at Bassmentality and Embrace, that night will always be an unforgettable experience for the Social Talk team!
